Closing ceremony of the TWL Project: Improving legislative framework and strengthening the Administrative Capacity of the Audit Authority o

The Closing ceremony of the Project was held on 7th September 2023.

The overall objective of this Twinning Light project was improving legislative framework and strengthening the administrative capacity of the Audit Authority of Montenegro. The specific objective and purpose were to ensure effective closure of programming period 2014-2020 (IPA II) and to prepare Montenegro for program management and control of projects funded within IPA III/ESIF.

Mr Veselko Grubišić, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Montenegro, held opening speech. Then, the audience was addressed by Mr Yngve Engstroem, Head of Cooperation Section, European Union Delegation to Montenegro. Ms Ksenija Barjaktarović, Beneficiary Country Project Leader, Auditor General of the Audit Authority of Montenegro, and Mr Neven Šprlje, Member State Project Leader, Director of the Agency for Audit of European Union Programmes Implementation System, presented all implemented activities, results and achievements of the Project. The Project leaders described project developments with emphasis on sustainability and importance of Project results.
