MISSION

ARPA was established to carry out the functions and responsibilities of the Audit Authority within the EU funds system in the Republic of Croatia. As an operational body, ARPA operates independently from the management and control systems set up for the implementation of EU programs and instruments.

ARPA conducts its activities in accordance with internationally accepted auditing standards and the guidelines issued by the European Commission. It provides an independent and objective assessment of the effectiveness of management and control systems and reasonable assurance that statements of expenditure and accounts submitted to the European Commission are true, complete, and accurate. This ensures reasonable assurance that the relevant transactions are lawful and correct.

ARPA’s work is also guided by the Charter of Good Auditing Practice, adopted by the auditing community at the Homologation Meeting in 2017.

 

VISION

Through its work, ARPA ensures effective and efficient audits of EU funds and the implementation system. Its aim is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of all entities involved in the management of EU funds in the Republic of Croatia.
