Opening ceremony of the European Union’s IPA 2012 Programme for Croatia
“Strengthening of the Agency for the Audit of European Union Programmes Implementation System (Audit Authority) for the Audit of Structural and Cohesion Funds in the new financial perspective 2014-2020”
On Wednesday, 16 March 2016, a formal opening ceremony marked the beginning of the Twinning Light Project “Strengthening of the Agency for the Audit of European Union (EU) Programmes Implementation System (Audit Authority) for the Audit of Structural and Cohesion Funds in the new financial perspective 2014-2020”.
The Agency for Audit of EU Programmes Implementation System is the beneficiary of the project in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Latvia acting as Audit Authority and being a member state within this project. The overall objective of the Twinning Light is to prepare the Republic of Croatia for sound financial management of the EU funds in the new financial perspective 2014-2020, in line with the EU requirements. The project, worth of 249 882.70 EUR, is financed by the EU with co-financing from the state budget of the Republic of Croatia. Implementation of the project began on 19 February, 2016 and will continue for 6 months.
The team of high-level professionals from Latvian, Austrian, Dutch and Finnish Audit Authorities possessing an extensive expertise in the field of Cohesion and Structural Funds, SOLID, Asylum and Migration Fund, Internal Security Fund, Fund for the Aid of the Most Deprived and ETC programmes, through the co-operation will make their contribution to ensure successful implementation of this Twinning Light.
